2014 GRADE Black Gelding

Meet TRITAN, our gentle giant with a heart as big as his stature! TRITAN is an impressive 17.2 -hand Percheron gelding, and his personality truly matches his towering presence. This gelding is a seasoned pro who's done it all—he’s a true "been-there, done-that" kind of horse. From expertly driving single and double carriages to skillfully pushing cattle, Tritan has proven himself invaluable around the ranch. He’s also been the trusted companion for packing gear into the mountains. No job is too odd or challenging for him! Tritan has roped and dragged cattle, logs and barrels, carried flags and been desensitized. Tritan absolutely thrives in town life as well. He’s seen it all—bikes zipping by, cars roaring, trains chugging, and dogs barking—but nothing fazes him. He’s confidently taken us everywhere, crossing bridges, ducking under tunnels, fording rivers, and loves those peaceful night rides around our college town. He’s also a fantastic teacher, having given both English and Western riding lessons to kids, and safely guided beginner and young riders on trail rides. My 1&2 year olds ride him every time we have him out! Tritan truly embodies the spirit of a “family” horse—dependable, patient, and loving but also has enough get up and go and endurance to do more skillful and hard work. His manners are impeccable: he loads easily, ties calmly, stands quietly for grooming and bathing, and gets along with everyone in the pasture, including our mini! Tritan goes barefoot and is incredibly cooperative, happily picking up his feet for cleaning without the need for stocks. In short, you won’t find a more versatile and reliable giant anywhere. Come meet Tritan and check out his detailed video to see him in action!
