2018 GRADE Palomino Quarter Pony Mare
Queenie is a seven-year-old, thick-made, smooth gaited, and exceptionally versatile pony that the entire family can enjoy. She is compact enough for small children, the perfect size for a smaller lady, and still stout and strong enough for Dad to get on and use when needed. Queenie is relaxed, easy to ride, and very user-friendly – she rides on a big loose rein and has a calm, confident way of going that makes her suitable for many different levels of riders. She has a solid foundation that began out on the ranch being used outside, and then in the roping pen – where she was well started on the heel side, as well as for the breakaway. She has real ranch experience, is excellent at brandings, and is dependable when moving cattle. Queenie has many trail miles and is confident whether she is ridden out alone or in a group. She is just as enjoyable and relaxed in a large group setting as she is on a quiet solo ride, and she will lead, follow, or ride anywhere in the line without hesitation. This mare has been my daughter’s personal pony this past year – and has also been used in our small riding lesson program, where she has performed well with beginner and youth riders. She is steady, forgiving, and easy to manage, with excellent ground manners. Queenie has also participated in several parades and has been ridden into town many times. She remains calm, composed, and completely dependable in tight, noisy, or high-pressure environments, riding exactly the same as she does at home. In addition to her ranch and trail experience, Queenie is also a very fun personal horse with lots of personality. She would be a great candidate for Liberty training and liberty work. She enjoys being ridden bareback, and loves to swim in the pond. She has also been ridden English as well, she has been started over smaller fences and has done some introductory dressage work – showing a willing and pleasant disposition in every new task she is given. She is in excellent health, an easy keeper, and has great feet and legs; she can go barefoot or stands willingly for the farrier to be shod. The only reason Queenie is available, is because my sister generously donated her beloved personal warmblood for my daughter to continue advancing in hunter, jumper, and dressage competitions. With school and sports, she simply cannot keep more than one going at this time, and Queenie deserves her own person who will enjoy her as much as we have. Queenie is located at Buster Ranch in Weatherford, Texas, just one hour from DFW International Airport, making her very accessible for anyone wishing to try her in person. For more information or to schedule a visit, please feel free to call anytime. Lots of additional pictures and videos available at www.BusterHorses.com Will hold for Christmas or New Years delivery. Will help arrange affordable transport anywhere – lots of worldwide shipping experience!
