2017 AQHA Blue Roan Gelding | 15.3 hands, 1300#
Blue is a big, good-looking gelding. He is a tough, go all day kind of horse with a nice walk.
An enjoyable horse to ride, very athletic and cowy. We purchased Blue as a weanling from
Don and Sheila Nelson, and over the past few years he has become Jake’s go-to horse. Blue
has been used in all aspects of ranch work, from dragging calves to the fire, to roping big
cattle outside. And from sorting in the alley, to sitting the gate and peeling off cows in the
branding pen. As well as sorting and pairing out outside. Recently, he has begun tracking
a dummy and roping slow cattle in the arena. He has the ability and breeding to make an
outstanding rope horse. Despite being a powerful horse, my wife and boys have all enjoyed
riding him. He gets along well with other horses and is easy to trim and shoe. Blue is the
horse for getting any job done, well.
