NOTES: Introducing Mama Mia Lotta Lena, aka “Bugsy,” standing 15.1. Bugsy really is a one-of-a-kind type of horse-she loves to go and do things, loves people, has an exceptionally forgiving temperament, is extremely safe, gentle and suitable for all ages and levels of riders. She tends to be shy at first but quickly warms up to you. Not a huge fan of dogs but will tolerate them if they do not bite. Thick built and sturdy, Bugsy is a finished reined cow horse who has also done reining, English and Western Pleasure, Showmanship and Halter. She has packed flags at rodeos, been hauled up and trail ridden in the mountains, tracked both the roping dummy and some live cows. She is NOT a rodeo horse (barrels/poles/goats). Good for the farrier, loads easily, backs out or turns around, clips, and bathes. Watchy on the ground but willstand tied quietly overnight/during the day. We purchased Bugsy 2 years ago for our HS son to do RCH with at the HS rodeos. Although an accomplished rider, he had never gone down the fence. With extremely limited knowledge of anything RCH, he placed in the top 10 overall for the state’s year end standings (I have judges score sheets if you’d like to see them). If you are looking for a great mare to take you down the fence, into the ranch versatility classes or even just down the trail, this is the mare you need to be taking home! Extremely easy to ride, as well as comfortable, with buttons easy enough for beginners to learn on, or more experienced riders to have fun with! More whoa than go, she’s definitely more push style rather than a free runner. This mare is kind, generous and has a heart of gold. She has been willing to do about anything and everything we’ve asked of her. Does have side bone that was disclosed by previous owner, which is almost completely fused. Presents as a slight hitch at the trot but does not impede her performance. Less noticeable when legged up and ready to show. Have x-rays along with all vet records to show soundness. Likes to suck wind occasionally but doesn’t ruin fences with it. Currently only has front shoes on due to us not riding much in the winter. Willing to hold up to 7 days at no charge, as well as being able to help arrange hauling. Delivery available if within 100 miles. If you have ANY questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
