2013 GRADE Bay Roan Gelding

Meet Lazy Ace, “Willie” — a 12 year old, 16HH Grade Quarter Horse x Draft gelding with presence, personality, and a quiet, dependable way of going. He’s people-oriented, eager to please, and has the kind of puppy-dog disposition that makes him easy to be around. Grandson of High Rolling Roany and Montana Easy Move, Willie carries proven bloodlines and the trustworthy, versatile mindset that makes him equally at home on the ranch, the trail, or as a companion horse. In his younger years, he was used for all aspects of ranching including roping, dragging, and working both cattle and bison. In recent years, he's been a reliable partner for pleasure trail and arena riding and a solid mount to swing a leg over any time you want to ride. He neck reins, side steps, works the gate, and will come pick you up off the fence. Willie has been used as a beginner lesson horse before but would be most well suited with an advanced rider who can put him to work. He is consistent, honest, and just as solid in late summer as he is in the early spring. Due to his large size he is not an extremely athletic horse in the arena, but has the build and strength to do any job at hand. On and off the ground, Willie is extremely well mannered. He loads, hauls, bathes, stands quiet for the farrier, can be left tied all day without fuss, and meets you at the gate every time. Willie does have mild seasonal asthma that can flare up during the late summer months in extremely dusty or smoky conditions. He can also get stiff in his hind end, which may make him sticky on leads under saddle. His vet recommends annual hock injections if he is put into heavy use. He also has two dimples on his lower neck that have never affected him. Horses like Willie don’t come around often. If you’re looking for an honest, versatile gelding with the size, consistency, and personality to be your forever partner, don’t miss your chance. Willing to hold for 7 days while transport is being set up, after that a $20 a day boarding fee will apply.
