Donation Open Heifer
We are honored and pleased to be selected to donate the 2025 MTRAA Donation Heifer.
HRR Freyja 520 goes back to the foundation sires and dams that formed the Heart
River Ranch cow herd. Her 3-year-old dam, HRR Freyja 357, originates from the Freyja
cow family that goes back to the Holden and Boot Jack Ranches. This young dam is
solid in her type and kind and is good uddered and solid footed. On the sire side, she is
out of Ridge Rad 9075, our senior herd bull who has been used both AI and naturally
in our herd and has been used AI in several commercial herds. Rad is a dark, cherry
red bull out of a powerful dam, Ridge Casey 978-8034. This moderate-framed heifer is
clean fronted, long bodied with rib capacity, is square hipped and good footed.
