2019 Grade Buckskin Clydesdale Cross Gelding

Dozer - 2019 Grade Buckskin Clydesdale Cross Gelding - Bailey Park- Cranbrook, BC; Canada. 16.3hh. Big motor, big heart, and bigger personality. This gelding is a rare mix of look, talent, size, strength, endurance, athleticism, and character that makes him a truly exceptional horse. We bought Dozer as a coming two-year-old with the plan that he would join our string to pack elk and moose and take care of our bigger clients. He became a champ at both. He started light packing at two, our wranglers rode him and we packed him his third year. At four he went full time taking care of trail ride and hunting clients, and packing. He has evolved into an all-around superb mountain gelding that can handle any terrain and any rider. He is very athletic for a big guy and has trained and competed two seasons skijoring in the Rockies. Dozer is the fan favorite wherever he goes – whether competing or on the trails. He is excellent working on the ranch and loves moving cows, is handy and strong dragging calves or holding bulls. He has a good bridle handle, moves off the leg, and has a great stop. Walk, trot, lope, stop, turn, stand, tie, load, clip, bathe – a little heavy for the farrier. The only thing Dozer hasn’t done yet is drive, but we know he would take to it the way he has taken to all his jobs. This horse loves to work so much that if you hang his halter in the pasture, he will find it and stand with his head by the post waiting for you to put it on.
