A mating specifically made to produce females to replace one of the perennial donors
in our programs history. “1421”, one of the famed “Pride Sisters” was always admired
by visitors for her length, body mass and perfect phenotype and udder. Her daughters
are some of the best young females in the herd. We used “Dollar Up” in the herd after
seeing wet daughters raising big calves and decided to plug him in to produce some
sustainable, long-lasting females. His daughters were the goal, but some of the bull
calves are some of our heaviest weighing calves so far also. Somebody is going to get
some great time tested and proven genetics here.
