2022 AQHA Bay Roan Gelding x CK Sun Duns Blue Boy x Quincys Royally Dun out of Butte Creek Rosie x Lowry Star Jr
If you’re looking for your next, dependable partner look no further! CK Spartacus Butte is one of a kind. He’s always the first to meet you at the gate. He genuinely loves people, while keeping boundaries and being respectful. Spartacus is a 2022 model 15 HH bay roan gelding. Born and raised on Meyers Ranch in Creswell, Oregon, Spartacus embodies the renowned durability, athleticism, and gentle nature of Meyers horses. Spartacus pedigree is loaded with top producers such as, Joe Canal, Ruano Rojo, Guatemala Canal, Lowery Star and Quincy Sun Dun. Butte Creek Rosie always produced top quality offspring. At Meyers Ranch colts are raised on the same tough terrain that they are expected to travel under saddle, creating a durable, sure footed colt. Over the last three months Spartacus has been part of my program at Kiesha’s Custom Colts. I have dedicated a lot of time focusing on the little things that make a great horse. Such as lowering his head to bridle, accepting deworming, picking up his feet, loading in a trailer, standing tied, drinking water out of buckets, and hauling to new locations. Spartacus has never bucked. You can just saddle him up and ride off. He is a rock star on the trails, he will cross ditches and bridges, up or down hills and through brush taller than him! In the arena he has a great walk trot canter. I have started him on shoulder and hip yields, turn around, side passing ECT. I have used him for very beginner lessons as well. You won’t find a better minded horse. Spartacus does have a scar on his right hip from when he was a yearling and one leg that toes out from the shoulder. It’s all superficial and does not affect his ability. He is up to date on deworming and vaccines. (Safeguard and 5way plus wnv) His teeth were inspected and he didn’t require a float. Spartacus training will continue until his time of pickup. Board is covered until Aug 25th. I am more than happy to help arrange shipping.
