2021 Grade Bay Draft Cross Mare

Will Sell Choice. Barney is a cool looking draft cross gelding that stands around 16.1 hands and is a really stout, well-made horse!! Barney is broke to ride as well as drive. He has mostly been used as a trail horse but would do well as a ranch horse too and would make an excellent pickup horse if someone wanted him for that!! Barney does well with time off and rides off the same. He crosses water and will go where he is pointed. Barney has been driven single and is driven double with Beulah. Beulah is a pretty mare with good foot and plenty of bone. She stands around 16.1 hands. She has mostly been used as a trail horse and will cross water and ride where she is pointed!! Beulah would also do well as a ranch horse if desired. Beulah has been driven single and is driven double with Barney. Beulah will be offered with Barney as a team but we will be selling them as choice! Barney and Beulah are full siblings and are very well matched being practical identical and would not be able to tell them apart aside from one being a gelding and the other a mare!! Beulah should be as stout as Barney when she finishes filling out. Barney and Beulah are a lot of horse when driven as a team therefore need someone who is experienced if they are bought as a driving team. We have used Barney and Beulah all summer to give stagecoach rides at the Chateau de Mores in Medora, ND. They really like to work, they will cross over the tongue for hitching, and will stand until asked to move. We purchased this team from the guy who raised and trained them.
