Heifer Calf
A really interesting heifer calf, bred to be competitive in the
Futurity and destined to excel as a cow in the future. WR is 109
and her dam WR is 106 on 6. 28N stems from one of the breed’s
most famed cow families—the Everelda Entense. The BCC cow
herd is largely tied to this great lineage. Donor females 53K, 57D,
and the immortal 1905 fill up the bottom side of 28N’s pedigree.
Angus legends such as N Bar Emulation EXT, Prototype 5102 E A
R, Leachman Right Time, and Traveler 124 GDAR—just to name a
few—are the sires represented in this pedigree. It is truly a lesson
in Montana Angus history to study the bottom side of 28N.
Her sire, LT Deep Canyon 2040, is writing his own history. In
the spring of 2023, several sons represented the first crop of
Ellingson Badlands at the Lindskov LT Ranch
annual bull sale; none were better than LT Deep
Canyon 2040. He was purchased by Duff Cattle
Co. Keep an eye out for his progeny—if 28N is any
indication, he will have a great future.
