2019 Grade Bay Welsh/QH Cross Gelding

Andy - 2019 Grade Bay Welsh/QH Cross Gelding - Shannon Kavanagh, Ferintosh, AB; Canada - 14.1hh. If you are looking for a step-up 4H or pony club horse, look no further than this cute gelding! Andy has a super soft handle, lots of trail and mountain miles, and has even been ridden English - he has endless potential and is ready for his future with his next partner. Andy is super soft and responsive, rides one handed, has a heck of a stop off your seat, side passes, and has a nice turn around.  He may be small, but this little horse is extremely athletic and a very smooth ride. Andy has been ridden primarily western but has also been ridden English by youth and introduced to jumping, which he handled like a champ. He’s been ridden with dogs tagging along underfoot, bareback, with saddle bags, and has even completed obstacle play days. He’s been ridden off farm solo, and has no problem riding out alone or with other horses. Andy is a sweetheart: first to the gate, great manners on the ground, and enjoys attention. He is good for the farrier, stands tied patiently, has been hauled to various pastures and arenas, and has spent multiple weekends riding in the Rockies where he was ridden up mountains, across rivers, into waterfalls and across tricky terrain, spending the nights highlined after a ride. Andy is a fantastic gelding that would be a great 4H or pony club prospect for a confident handy youth. He is more whoa than go but is eager to please and happy to go to work.  He is a quiet minded dude but he can lack confidence in new situations if by himself so I would recommend him for an intermediate rider. He is sound and requires no maintenance. Up to date on dewormer, UTD on vaccines and teeth were floated this spring. Minor superficial scar on back leg, only cosmetic and never any issue with soundness. VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rqe24yVf6o FMI: 403-669-7917. Coggins.
