2018 Grade Bay Curly Pony Gelding
Anchor - 2018 Grade Bay Curly Pony Gelding - - Soren Crosina, Ponoka, AB; Canada - Ultimate Kids Ranch and Trail Pony!! Anchor is an absolutely adorable Curly Pony standing 12 hh. He is healthy and sound. Anchor is extremely safe! He is gentle on the ground and will follow his little rider around like a big puppy. You can feel confident putting a child on him for their first ride. He is naturally more whoa than go but will go forward willingly with a rider who has the skill to ask and keep him going forward. He has been a very fun partner for our son who has spent countless hours exploring the countryside and loping around the fields on him. Anchor has been used for lessons, trails, petting zoos, parades, goat tail tying. He has been on several week long trips to the Rocky Mountains where he willingly goes through water, over bridges, up and down steep hills, nothing fazes him and he has even crossed a big river. He can keep up to the big horses and really thrives on the trail. He would also thrive on a ranch out checking cows or exploring. Anchor is amazing with any type of obstacle and would have fun doing cowboy challenge or gymkana. Good with ropes and cows. Excellent to lead, load, tie, bath, trim. Will sometimes sneak a bite of grass with a young rider (anti grazing reins) can be easily corrected by an older rider. Anchor had his mane trimmed this summer but it will grow back long and curly. He has a few surface skin scrapes from his herd mates. Hair is growing back. Anchor truly is an amazing little partner! He is a fun pony with a big gentle heart.
