Here is an opportunity to purchase one of the top young females that
AAR has to offer. Blackcap Kay 4068 is very deep made with a beautiful
front end and sound structure. Her dam, A A R Blackcap Kay 6820, is one
of our favorite cows. We don’t flush many females, but we did her—and
we’ll be sending her back to the ET center again next spring. Along with her
tremendous phenotype, her pedigree is stacked with great cows. Her dam,
A A R Blackcap Kay 2817, was a strong producer, posting 7 WR 103 and 6
YR 102. The granddam, A A R Blackcap Kay 9820, is one of our all-time topproducing
cows, recording 9 WR 111 and 9 YR 105.
4068’s sire, Koupals B&B Bridger 2041, is an exciting young bull that is
working at AAR and leased to Beef 360. He combines calving ease, length,
and a great muscle pattern. His offspring grow fast and then level off into
a moderate-framed mature animal that works perfectly here in Montana.
Perhaps Bridger’s best trait is the maternal strength in his pedigree. His
dam, B&B Blkbd Progress 3015, is one of the most influential cows the
Angus breed has ever seen. She has six sons in bull studs, and it looks like
Bridger could be her best.
A A R Blackcap Kay 4068 is AI bred and confirmed safe to SRS Jericho
9204M, a bull we purchased from Skinner Ranch Seedstock earlier this year.
We toured quite a bit this spring, and he hit us harder than anything else we
saw—excellent feet and phenotype to go along with a fresh pedigree.
